I’ve definitely gone back and forth on 1) actually starting this newsletter back up, and 2) if I would use it to actually publish material that isn’t just updates on my writing journey.

The answers are, respectively, yes and yes.

So, with that in mind, here’s what to expect.

OLDER SHORT, FLASH, AND MICRO FICTION (OF VARIOUS GENRES)

Self-explanatory. I have so much stuff that has been taking up space in my hard drive without ever being shown the light of day! I want it to be read. That will be published here, on a somewhat regular basis (most likely biweekly).

SMUT (MAYBE (PROBABLY (I’LL LABEL IT)))

Writing something broadly termed “queer romance” will involve fucking, and involve fucking of a non-normative variety. That means: lots of stuff, but mostly gay shit and kink. Everything that is spicier than “PDA” will have a clear label and (non-spoiler) content warning up top. Those brave enough to continue will get more than just fucking: they will get NARRATIVE that MATTERS.

CRAFT ESSAYS (MOSTLY ABOUT SMUT(BUT IN AN ELEVATED WAY(I’LL LABEL IT))

Currently, I’m writing a monograph about how to write character-first fetish and kink centered stories (oooohhh aaaahhh he’s so sophisticated with his word choice), and I’m debating releasing them here if they don’t catch on as pitches. Again, they will be labeled and properly tagged so those who are uninterested won’t have to worry.

SERIALIZED FICTION (MY VERY FIRST NOVEL(IT’S A BIT ROUGH(BUT NECESSARY TO THE WORK I’M CURRENTLY WRITING(AND I THINK IT CAN STAND WELL ON ITS OWN)))) (YES I GOT THE CORRECT NUMBER OF CLOSED PARENTHESES

You heard that right. My first novel, Your Girl Or Your Woman, focusing on a young woman named Sarah June Minter, navigating her newly claimed bisexuality through a relationship with a woman over twice her age, and a more age appropriate trans woman for whom she is developing genuine, real, and deep feelings.

And wow, this, the craft essays, and the smutty fiction will be posted on this new newsletter!

Again, I don’t have a timeline for any of this—some of the erotica/smut/romance stuff could be published over a very long timeline (I wrote a lot as prework on other stories and don’t want it to molder in obscurity—you need to see that I am a depraved freak (only if you’re comfortable with that)). The craft essays are in the process of being written, and the old fiction is ready to go as is, but I don’t want to start chaining myself to a release schedule JUST YET—
